Our Story
Habibi Mediterranean Grill is more than just a restaurant—it’s a story of family, resilience, and love for good food.
We opened our doors in Evanston in the year when the whole world was closed due to a pandemic in 2020. Like every other family-owned restaurant, we faced challenges that still give us nightmares, and within 10 months in business, we almost gave up.

Great place to try authentic Mediterranean food! Quantity of food is great and very budget friendly. I tried the shawarma but the rice options look super sumptuous as well. There's also an option to buy some fantastic groceries. To top it all, amazing staff giving you a fantastic hospitality experience. Must try if you are in the area.

We had a group of 6 people and decided to try this restaurant for the first time...and it didn't disappoint! The best shawarma we've ever had! I personally had the beef kofta shawarma, and both the flavour and the serving size were great! The sauce in the shawarma was perfect, that added great touch to the meat! French fries were also crispy, and fresh! And you can tell it was real potato fries! They also added pickled vegetables and 2 kinds of sauces on the side with the shawarma, which was a great addition! Will definitely come back and definitely recommend! 10 out of 10! Amazing!

An incredible restaurant to have amazing Mediterranean cuisine! The interior is designed with care, and all the workers were happy to help with any questions. I had the gyro and chicken platter over rice, which came with a huge portion of meat and other ingredients. You can't go wrong with any protein here, and I highly recommend the falafel and hummus as well. The food comes out very quick, and it is always cooked fresh. Make sure to try Habibi In if you're in Evanston!
